Between 2017 and 2021, Sony/Columbia Pictures teamed up with Disney/Marvel Studios to co-produce three live-action Spider-Man movies, collectively known as the Spider-Man ‘Home’ trilogy. The films – which starred Tom Holland in the lead role as Peter Parker/Spider-Man – were directed by Jon Watts and included Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017), Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019), and Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021).
Across the course of the series, the films saw Peter Parker get to grips with being a ‘neighbourhood’ Spider-Man, in a world where super heroes are larger than life and pretty much everywhere. He also had to cope with a seemingly never-ending onslaught of villains, who frequently popped up to cause him no end of problems.

- Adrian Toomes/Vulture – Michael Keaton
- Jackson Brice/Shocker I – Logan Marshall-Green
- Herman Schultz/Shocker II – Bokeem Woodbine
- Phineas Mason/Tinkerer – Michael Chernus
- Mac Gargan/Scorpion – Michael Mando
Donald Glover also appears in Spider-Man: Homecoming, playing the role of Aaron Davis – a small-time criminal looking to purchase weapons from Adrian Toomes. Although the character is not depicted as a ‘villain’ in Spider-Man: Homecoming, comic book fans will be familiar with Davis as the alter-ego of the villainous Prowler.

Spider-Man: Far From Home
Here are the villains of Spider-Man: Far From Home…
- Quentin Beck/Mysterio – Jake Gyllenhaal
Although Quentin Beck/Mysterio is the main villain of this movie, Spider-Man: Far From Home also includes the ‘Elementals’ – a group of four faux villains, created by Mysterio using advanced Stark technology. The Elementals are based on four Spider-Man villains from the comics and include Hydro-Man, Sandman, Molten Man, and Cyclone.

Spider-Man: No Way Home
Here are the villains of Spider-Man: No Way Home…
- Norman Osborn/Green Goblin – Willem Dafoe
- Otto Octavius/Doctor Octopus – Alfred Molina
- Max Dillon/Electro – Jamie Foxx
- Curt Connors/Lizard – Rhys Ifans
- Flint Marko/Sandman – Thomas Haden Church
In addition to the above villains, Quentin Beck/Mysterio appears briefly in the movie via archival footage, while anti-hero (and sometime villain) Eddie Brock/Venom appears in a cameo role.
