In 2016, Spider-Man was introduced into the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Tom Holland took on the role of Peter Parker/Spider-Man, to make the character’s debut in Marvel Studio’s sprawling comic book movie universe.
Since first stepping into the MCU, Spider-Man has appeared in a number of films, some as Marvel Studios productions (e.g. Avengers: Infinity War) and some as Sony Pictures/Marvel Studios co-productions (Spider-Man: Far From Home).
If you are new to the Spider-Man movie series and you want to keep track of Spider-Man’s appearances in the MCU it can be quite confusing. Marvel Studios produces a high volume of films, many of which do not include Spider-Man, so where do you begin?
Well, if you simply want to watch all of the MCU films which feature Spider-Man, then this post can help you. Below I will set out a guide to all of the MCU Spider-Man movies, so you will know where to start and what to watch next.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe Spider-Man movie order

As noted above, Spider-Man first appeared in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in 2016. This was in the film, Captain America: Civil War.
In Captain America: Civil War, Tony Stark/Iron Man recruits Peter Parker to join his team of Avengers. Equipped with a new costume courtesy of Stark, Parker fights against Captain America’s team of Avengers in a large battle between various Marvel heroes.
Following his inclusion in Captain America: Civil War, Spider-Man made his next appearance in the Spidey-solo film, Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017). This movie focuses on Peter Parker’s high school adventures and his encounters with the villainous Vulture.
For his third appearance, Spider-Man becomes an Avenger in Avengers: Infinity War (2018) and finds himself caught up in a battle to save the universe from the tyrannical Thanos. Spider-Man fights alongside the likes of Iron Man, Doctor Strange and Star-Lord, but becomes a victim of ‘The Snap’ – a devastating event which wipes out half of the population of the universe.

The next time Spider-Man appears in the MCU is via Avengers: Endgame (2019). Here he is revived to join forces with every major super hero in the MCU, to stop Thanos for good.
Following his resurrection in Avengers: Endgame, Spidey appears in the solo film, Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019). This is another high school adventure – albeit via a field trip – and sees Spidey trading blows with Mysterio.
His next appearance is in Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021), followed by Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (2022).

If you wish to watch all of the Spider-Man MCU movies in order, then use this list:
- Captain America: Civil War (2016)
- Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017)

- Avengers: Endgame (2019)
- Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019)
- Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021)

If you work your way through the films in this order, you will be able to see Spider-Man’s early interactions with Iron Man, all the way through to him becoming a fully-fledged super hero and beyond. You do not need to watch any of the other movies which take place in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, just stick to these.
